Santa Fe clubhouse wall collapse kills two Chillicothe men
Richard Gentry and Herman Behrens, Santa Fe railway employees, died when masonry walls of the Santa Fe clubhouse at North Chillicothe collapsed on a Saturday morning. James Newell Art Watson and John Crawford were injured. Crawford and Watson were treated and Newell was rushed to a hospital, with all three reported to be recovering.

William Whitton 86 dies at home in Lacon
Robert Whitton 86 longtime Lacon resident and Lacon State Bank director died at his home Friday after a five month hip fracture and a long illness. Born July 18 1848 in Arbroath Scotland he came to America as a child and lived in Washington N near LaRose before moving to Lacon thirty years ago. He married Cornelia Reed February 24 1876. they celebrated their 58th anniversary last February. Surviving are his widow three children and one sister. Funeral 2 p m at the home with burial in the Lacon mausoleum.

Minonk residents voted two to one to authorize building a new gymnasium and auditorium as part of the community high school. The bond issue of 10 000 dollars to be repaid over 10 years passed 462 to 277. Mrs H J Dieken of Detroit and her two sons died in a Colorado cloudburst flood at Bear Creek last Tuesday night.
