Two Games Go to Pontiac in Grey Battle
The Greys lost a hard battle to Pontiac here Thursday. Schwartz pitched seven innings for Pontiac while Henry allowed five hits and three errors. Romine tightened in relief as the Greys could not break through. In the eighth Schwartz weakened and Pontiac scored three runs. Henry returned in the bottom half and Romine walked Clark and Williams before Francis drove in Romine. Williams beat out a slow grounder leading to a near homer for Francis, but Pontiac took the breaks with Henry’s costly errors. They hope to redeem themselves when they meet Pontiac on August 18.

Elmer Frederick Hunter, head of Hunter Lumber Company, died August 3 1921 in Chillicothe Illinois after a stroke at his office August 1.
