Plans were made for a June 1935 reunion with Paul Berry as chairman.

The Marshall County Board of Review announces a second general 10 percent cut to all farm land and improvements and city and village property and improvements. This brings the best farm land to 48 per acre from 60, with similar reductions across land and property. The decision was made in session at Lacon led by president Louis B. Phillips of Varna.

Whitefield Grocery and Home Burn in Thursday Fire
Fire destroyed the Griffin home and Whitefield grocery last Thursday night. The blaze, of undetermined origin, gutted the building owned by John Bell of Bradford. Ferry Faces Financing Hurdles for Ili River Run
City council study of Henrys free ferry over the Ili nois river shows monthly costs of about 250 dollars plus 120 for fuel and 100 for ferrymen wages. Rebuild Tanks after Lostant Fire by Farm Bureau
Illinois Farm Supply, a LaSalle County Farm Bureau branch, begins rebuilding four replacement tanks destroyed by fire in Lostant. Concrete foundations are laid by H W Linder and crew for tanks on the east side of the I C tracks opposite the old site. A 30 by 30 foot building for grease oil and paint storage will be added plus an outside loading platform for truck filling. Merlyn Comisky of Ottawa oversees the district as superintendent.

Fred A. Raymond died at his home Tuesday morning aged 91, oldest resident of Henry and among Marshall and Putnam counties. Last rites at 1:30 pm Thursday at M. E. church with Rev. J. A. Johnson presiding. Interment in Henry City cemetery. Born August 23, 1842 in Burlington Connecticut. married Mary F. Tabor in 1870. one daughter Evaline. widowed 1881. District Women Set Princeton Meeting for August Twenty Second
Democratic women of the 16th Congressional district plan an all day meeting at the Princeton courthouse on Tuesday August 22. Peoria man slain in bank-plot hold up on Liberty Street
Hero T. Poppen Jr., 27, of Peoria, was shot in the abdomen during a hold up on Liberty Street as he headed to a bank with cash and checks totaling over 800 dollars. Oliver Dodge, 44, ex convict, was arrested thirty minutes later and held on murder and robbery charges with a 65,000 dollar bond after a preliminary Peoria hearing.
