Dean Townsend son of Mrs Fred Townsend of Princeton has been named chairman of the Marshall County N R S office in the court house at Lacon. He succeeds S B Bennett of Lazcom. Townsend, a 1936 graduate of Illinois College, has worked in the N R S office for Bureau County at Princeton. The National Reemployment Service locates men and women for WPA and private jobs across towns like Voruca Wenona Lacon Sparland Varna Camp Grove Rutland and others. In Marshall County 473 people use N R S facilities for WPA or private employment. In the first three weeks of July the service placed 75 Marshall County men in work.
