Lord Lawrence Dies After Illness at Peoria Hospital
Mrs Lawrence of Bradford reports Lord Lawrence S Lord died at Peoria Hospital last Wednesday after a serious operation. Born December 12 1869 in Chicago Louisa Griesmer joined the Lawrence family in 1898 and lived on the Bradford farm northeast of town. She raised nine children and was active in Evangelical Lutheran and Baptist churches with funeral rites led by Rev Metcalf at Bradford Cemetery.

Florid Man Escapes Bartonville Asylum
George Hetrick of Florid escaped Bartonville asylum ten days ago and was found in a ravine about ten miles away. He was sunburned stripped and nearly starved. A truck driver brought him to the hospital where he lies in a serious condition. Family notified and hopes to bring him home when able.

Boy thrown by horse at Camp Grove fractures skull
Kenneth Carrol nine year old son of Mr and Mrs Fred Carrol was thrown when a horse shied on a Camp Grove ride. He struck his head and fractured his skull at St Frances hospital in Peoria. An operation the next day relieved brain pressure. His uncle Joe Carrol of Brimfield had a steel piece removed from his eye the same day.

A Sunday noon two car crash on the hard road above the city killed John Carroll of Lone Tree and Flora Peters. Herbert Herzog of Peoria escaped injuries as two Carroll passengers died later at the hospital. Flora Peters, a church and Rebekah lodge member, funeral services set for Friday at 2:30 PM.

Tragic Car Crash Near Lone Tree Claims Carrolls and Peters
A two vehicle collision south of the Louis Hofer farm near Lone Tree fatally injured Miss Peters and fatally wounded John Carroll Jr after a Massachusetts car and a Studebaker tourer collided. Miss Peters a lifelong resident of the area died after 72 hours in hospital. Carroll died seven hours after sustaining severe injuries. An inquest was set for Monday at 2 pm when coroner Thierry would attend.

Local Red Cross Life Saving Tests Reported

Daniel Vail Jr. drove a Ford roadster with companions Raymond Ziegler and Virgil Griffin when he collided with Chester Coggshal in a Buick coupe on a town corner. The Buick was shoved into the curb, damaging its fender and transmission. the Ford suffered a sprung axle and a bent running board. Both drivers left with only tempers flared. The Ford is back in service. the Buick remains in the garage awaiting repairs.

Wet pavement foils attempt to pass car at Sparland
Six occupants ride in a Cadillac touring car driven by Charles Fenwick of La Moille when he tried to pass another vehicle near the Sparland railroad crossing. The car skidded on wet pavement and struck an electric light pole, injuring several riders and damaging the vehicle. A doctor aided a victim whose arm was nearly severed, and authorities feared the arm might be saved. The other car's occupants escaped injury.

Sullivan Dies of Stroke Early Saturday
Sullivan Lott, a Henry, Illinois resident since 1910, died early Saturday after a stroke paralyzing him for about two weeks. He was buried Monday at St Patrick's Cemetery after funeral services at St Joseph's Catholic Church. Born in Ireland, he lived in Chillicothe and Rutland before moving to Nebraska and finally Henry. He leaves a wife, siblings, half siblings, and many nephews and nieces. pallbearers included Joseph Harrington and John Green.
