General Manager Edward S. Golde announces the Illinois State Fair starts Saturday August 19 with Farm Bureau Day August 25 and derby day August 26. Farm Bureau division awards total 4503 with entries due by August 10. Dewey Bratheer of Urbana is division superintendent. Features from Chicago Century of Progress include the D Arcy aerial trio and a thrilling eighty foot platform slide to the grandstand suspended by a cable.
