Miss Mary Read 85 resident of Hennepin died at 10:30 last Wednesday at her niece Miss Bessie Read’s home after a fall. Born November 29 1848 in Hennepin she lived there most of her life with moves to Lincoln Nebraska and Bloomington. Survived by niece Miss Bessie Read and nephew William Read. Funeral 2 PM Friday at home. burial in Hennepin cemetery.

Jack Tartar finds a 61 year old souvenir program for a Henry uartette club concert dated December 6 1878 at the old Christian church. Participants included Miss Anna Clark soprano Miss Sophia Clark alto Eugene Oblinger tenor H D D Martin bass Miss Ellen Dikes piano Ira Ong violin Judson Ong harmonica with Oblinger also on cornet. Judson Ong remains in Henry with Anna Clark now Lett Green in Bloomington.

Princeton Boy Survives 19 Foot Fall At City Pool
Donald Kern eight year old son of Mr and Mrs Horace Kern of Princeton fell from a 19 foot diving tower at Alexander Park swimming pool. He landed on cement injuring his ankle and suffering bruises and scratches. He was treated at Perry Memorial hospital where X rays showed a broken ankle and a cast was applied. He is grandson of Mr and Mrs A W Kern.

Mrs. Katherine Eiler Bickerman a Henry resident for over 80 years died July 30 at home from age related infirmities and heat. Funeral at St Marys Catholic Church with Rev Fr Andrew Schauer officiating. Interment in Calvary cemetery. Survived by nine children and twelve grandchildren. Her husband Theodore Bickerman died in 1930.

Double funeral for sisters of Mrs Ella McAtee
