At the annual meeting on March 25 Ray Hunt reported Putnam Grain Co earned another successful year. About 450 stockholders supported a plan to convert the company to a Farm Bureau type corporation, with directors Roy Bracken John Wherry and Orie Bachman retired and replaced by Mar shall Downey Wayne Winship. The audit shows 263 529 bushels of grain valued at 467 375.47 and merchandise sales of 90 285.53, yielding about 18 000 in pre tax savings for stockholders. patronage disbursements include three cents per bushel on grain sold to the company two cents on purchases by livestock feeders and five percent on merchandise sales.

Hennepin Barn Burns After Lightning Strike
