Sanctuary at Eagles Nest housing plan clears Henderson County hurdle
Henderson County Planning Board backed rezoning for an 85 acre Horse Shoe Farm site to allow John Turchin's Sanctuary at Eagles Nest. The proposed 700 to 1200 sq ft modular cottages would form eight to sixteen dwelling pocket communities with over 60 percent open space. Monthly rents would be 3600 to 4000 dollars including utilities and one daily restaurant meal. Critics cited density and traffic concerns as opponents spoke.
