Henderson County eyes street closure for Hendersonville High expansion
Henderson County commissioners on Monday asked Hendersonville City Council to close a block between Ninth Avenue and Highway 25 to enable the anticipated Hendersonville High School addition. The county bought the Boyd Chevrolet dealership site for the project last year and plans to raze the building after securing a leaseback. The School Board ranks the HHS expansion among top construction priorities with other renovations planned for Edneyville and Upward elementary schools. Commissioners expect proposals for the HHS work soon.
