Old Orchard Tavern opens on Sugarloaf with mountain lodge vibe
Old Orchard Tavern, a new restaurant at the Cascades Mountain Resort on Sugarloaf Road, offers high end Americana with a southern twist. Manager Matthew Barrs notes a simple five item appetizer and entree menu focused on quality. Entrees include Outer Banks crab cakes and shrimp and grits, with a craft beer list and wine selections. The venue is open 5 10 p m Wednesday to Sunday and 11 am 2 pm Sunday brunch, with reservations available.
