Berkeley Spinners Ballpark Earns National Register Status
Berkeley Spinners historic ballpark at Berkeley Mills Park in Hendersonville is officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places after a commission-led nomination. The designation notes the postwar industrial league team’s ties to the mill village and local workforce, with Berkeley Mills’ evolution from Balfour Mills to Berkeley and the 1949 1950 grandstand work by mill employees.
