Henderson County School Board bids farewell to Bazzle and Houston
At the Henderson County School Board meeting on Monday, longtime Chair Ervin Bazzle and first-term member Josh Houston were honored as they prepare to leave the board. Challengers Blair Craven and Michael Absher won seats, while incumbents Mary Louise Corn and Rick Wood were reelected. Corn praised Houston’s thoughtful eye opening comments, and Wood thanked Bazzle for 16 years of steady leadership. Colleagues recalled Bazzle’s guiding principles and the trust he fostered among the county’s educators and students.
