Henderson County Commissioners reject 90 day moratorium
The Henderson County Board of Commissioners voted 4 to 1 against a 90 day building moratorium proposed by Commissioner Grady Hawkins to pause subdivisions of 100 or more units. Hearings drew strong support from residents in Hunters Crossing Hawthorn Hills and Etowah who fear high density growth and road strain while opponents argued state law limits on moratoriums.
