St John in Wilderness to host Friends of Music Concert

The Episcopal Church of St John in the Wilderness in Flat Rock hosts a 4 p.m. June 18 concert in the Parish Hall featuring soprano Lucy Owen Hoyt and pianist Deborah Hollis. St John welcomes scholar in residence for summer 2023

St John in the Wilderness in Flat Rock invites the public to summer sessions May 28 to June 22 led by Phil Kenneson as Summer Scholar in Residence. Formation sessions Sundays at 10 a.m. and Thursdays at 5 p.m. in the Wilderness Room, with Sunday services at 8:45 and 11 a.m. Kenneson will preach on select Sundays. Thursday evenings feature Saintly Hors D oeuvres and ethics or theology discussions.
