Commissioners see hurdles in biomass plants permitting
Transylvania County commissioners warned a crowd that the proposed waste to energy plant faces a lengthy permitting process. Commissioner Page Lemel criticized the lack of planning detail while Ken Allison and others voiced opposition at the Little River Community Center. Duke Energy said it had not been approached by Renewable Developers Penrose about supplying Lee Biomass.
