Dual language immersion boosts student reading in Hendersonville
Bruce Drysdale's 100 percent Spanish immersion program since kindergarten now sees first graders reading and writing well in both languages. Dual-language students, including native Spanish and native English speakers, outperform peers in all subjects by third grade, with scores rising from 25 percent to 67th percentile after year one and ongoing gains through third grade.
