Historic Flat Rock to sell preserved King House on Greenville Highway
Historic Flat Rock Inc. has a contract to sell the Benjamin and Elisha King House on Greenville Highway to a young Asheville couple. The 1840s structure, moved from the old mill area and part of Drover's Inn history, was purchased for 120000 and renovated with over 100000 spent on updates. The sale, with seller financing over 18 months, is expected to close later this month. Historic Flat Rock will then pursue another preservation project using a revolving fund to protect historic character.
