Hendersonville, County back off greenway demand for Jackson Park sewer
Hendersonville city and Henderson County deputies reversed a demand that the city provide a 4 to 5 foot wide greenway and bridges along a new gravity sewer line through Jackson Park. The change allows the $4 million, 3 mile line to proceed, with county maintaining the trail and the city maintaining the gravel roadway. The pact also opens a potential linking parcel to Hendersonville Christian School property. Mayor Barbara Volk supported the compromise while officials noted the project avoids delaying a low interest loan deadline.
