Hendersonville water fight prompts move toward Utilities Commission oversight
Hendersonville officials consider state law changes that would place city water and rate decisions under the North Carolina Utilities Commission for all or most customers outside city boundaries. The county board urged lawmakers to back legislation authorizing rate making over municipal systems and to review city fees for uniformity and external oversight.
