Land Trust Accredits CMLC on 20th Anniversary Milestone
The Land Trust Accreditation Commission renewed Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy's accreditation, calling it a major milestone. CMLC, based in Hendersonville, marks 20 years in 2014 and notes over 27 000 acres protected since 1994 in Henderson and Transylvania counties. Last year the group conserved more than 4 000 acres at 21 properties, setting records. The renewal affirms adherence to high standards and requires five-year recertification with thorough documentation.
