Greenway planning grants awarded to Asheville and neighbors
The N C Department of Transportation announced bicycle and pedestrian planning grants to Asheville, Transylvania County, Polk County and nearby towns. Recipients were chosen from 18 applications by an awards committee including regional planners and NCDOT staff. The grants fund comprehensive strategies for facilities, programs and regulations to expand safe walking and biking. Kimley Horn advises these communities on their plans.
