From jeans to genes studio keeps legacy alive
Special to the Lightning details Pat Shepherd as founder of Pat's School of Dance. From teaching in her parents' house during high school to 45 years running a studio with 450 current dancers, the program has earned numerous awards for choreography and technique. Shepherd aims to inspire joy and passion in every dancer, hoping to motivate hundreds more who have passed through Pat's doors. It all began when she wanted a new pair of jeans and her parents told her to work to pay for them.
