Foreclosure Fight Ends Hamlin Chapter 11 Bid in Carriage Park
Henderson County court denied Hamlin's Chapter 11 petition for Carriage Park, ruling it filed to shield a looming foreclosure. Judge found no operating capital or viable reorganization plan, and noted the sole asset is overleveraged real estate with liens outrunning equity. Arendale seeks dismissal to allow sale of lots and completion of project.

County approves ambulance expansion in Fletcher area
Continued from page 2 Wyatt said the board appropriated 652000 to fund a new ambulance crew vehicle and equipment in Fletcher. New operating cost would be 388576 with 208360 equipment expense from 34 million Bent Creek funds. Hawkins questioned timing and placement for optimal cost. Fletcher officials welcome a partnered station as a site is needed and Emergency Management head Hyder suggested placing the crew at Fletcher Fire Department now with a permanent home later. The proposed tax rate 56.5 cents per 100 valuation would yield about 71.57 million in 2016 17 and generate 6.4 million more. I will vote no on this motion.
