Shadow of a Wheel premieres in Asheville on June 8
Ride Continued from page 1 based in Asheville features a 54 day 1982 cross country bike trip for M S research. Bonesteel and 31 riders plus five adults celebrate the local premiere of Shadow of a Wheel at the Fine Arts Theatre at 7 p m Thursday with a Q A. The film blends interviews and photos from Williford and Rick Foster and recalls harrowing heat headwinds and long climbs. The documentary follows the riders as they reconnect using Facebook and email and explores how the journey changed their lives and inspired ongoing MS fundraising nationwide. A Western North Carolina premiere occurs June 8 with additional screenings and a four part WUNC TV series beginning July 6 on Thursdays at 9 30 p m.
