Go west for sweet treats Mills River and Etowah ice cream shops
The Mills River Creamery opened in April offering ice cream, milkshakes, sun daes, banana splits, floats and smoothies with 16 flavors and soon bottled milk from Tap Root Dairy. Owner Nancy Lynn Waycaster notes local customers and forthcoming pasteurized milk on top. Mike Silvia’s Mike's Premium Ice Cream in Etowah, opened last October, serves scooped and soft serve flavors with seven days a week hours 11 am to 9 pm except Mondays.
