Developer aims to clear up Seven Falls mess in Henderson County
Keith Vinson’s fraud case tied to Seven Falls Golf and River Club spurred a relocation of ownership. Scott McElrath of Mills River bought 42 lots and notes securing other land in the 1,400‑acre project from Synovus NBSC. The deal includes five deeds of trust, with value disclosed only for the 42 lots at 230 000 dollars. Tax assessor values total at 979,700 dollars, about 750,000 more than purchase price. McElrath says title issues and legal matters dominate, and lawyers are on the case.
