Mills River rejects southern segment of NC 280 greenway
Mills River Town Council unanimously voted to reject a southern segment of the NC 280 greenway from NC 191 to the Transylvania County line and will focus on a northern trail toward the airport. Residents opposed to encroachment in southern areas applauded the decision amid discussions of alternatives and links to the Ecusta Trail between Brevard and Hendersonville.
