Hendersonville Fire Department has nearly completed installing reflective color coded rings on 750 hydrants. Blue, orange, green and red indicate flow rates from 1500 to under 500 gallons per minute. Fire Chief Joe Vingidi notes the rings aid identification and rating of firefighting readiness.
