Remembering Theron at a country food buffet in East Flat Rock
An editor recalls meeting Theron Maybin at Orr’s Family Restaurant, sharing a table with Chicken Man, and hearing of their farming life. Theron, the unofficial mayor of Green River, known for apples and county church ties, touched many with his kindness and farming resilience. He invited the narrator to church and community events, while his family and friends recall his leadership and faith. Read editor Bill Moss at billmoss hendersonvillelightning com.
