Playhouse funding stirs debate in Henderson County
In 2012 the authority cooled on support for the Flat Rock Playhouse and later rejected a 25000 seat purchase for a stay and play program. A new study valued the theater at about 14 million in income, prompting calls for renewed county backing and stronger local support to sustain tourism and Main Street vitality.
