Seventh Avenue District facelift moves forward with $3.5 million contract
Asheville officials approved a $3.5 million contract to revive the Historic Seventh Avenue District with brick-paver crosswalks trees planters and street furniture, part of a downtown plan started in 2017 after delays from the pandemic and bidding gaps. The project aims for completion by late fall next year as private investment already spurred more than $1.5 million in property sales and 11 new eateries or shops since 2020.
