Henderson County Hires Molly Gorsuch as New PIO

The Henderson County school system hired Times-News reporter Molly Gorsuch as public information officer replacing Trish Allen who retires. Gorsuch plans to push social media outreach and collaborate with Parent Teacher Organizations and school staff while rejuvenating the quarterly newsletter and online access.

Henderson County adopts 2015 property value schedules

The Henderson County Board of Commissioners approved the 2015 Schedules of Values Standards and Rules for Market Value and Present-Use Value at a November 19, 2014 meeting. Public inspection is available at the County Assessor’s Office and via the county website. copies are at the Henderson County Library. Property owners may appeal within 30 days to the North Carolina Property Tax Commission.
