Meadows ethics probe shadows 11th District race
The ethics inquiry centers on Mark Meadows former chief of staff Larry West and ongoing pay after termination. West faced complaints from female staffers while Meadows quickly investigated and barred him, yet kept his severance as senior adviser for 20 months. The OCE referral prompted House Ethics review. Meadows says he acted in good faith and fully cooperates. Democrat Rick Bryson calls it a campaign boost in the race for North Carolina's 11th District.
