Johnson Farm wins grant for eighth grade ed program
Historic Johnson Farm has secured a 50000 grant from USDA Farm to School to expand the eighth grade education program in Henderson County public schools. The project Rooted in Food and Farm pairs HCPS teachers with Contructive Learning Design for two years of hands on lesson planning at farm sites with student visits and training. The effort also honors Vernon and Leander Johnson who gifted the farm to the community.
