The Never Blue in Hendersonville debuts a summer menu by Chef Jesse Roque featuring tap a entrees in smaller portions. New items include low country crab cakes scallop scampi pasta a whole fried fish lamb shank and a playful buffalo butt served with cassare saffron rice. Roque notes staff favorite kale quinoa salad with champagne vinaigrette joins the lineup.
Highland Farms in Black Mountain announced July 19 it will be acquired by Asheville based Givens Estates. Ed Neves and co owners Pat Smith described the transition to residents and staff, noting continued resident agreements and ongoing regulatory approvals. Ownership expected to close by September 30 with 218 independent residences, 30 assisted living rooms, and a 60 bed skilled nursing facility.
