Lazy River to offer Henderson County canoe and kayak trips
Matt Evans and Leslie Evans win a special-use permit to open Lazy Otter Outfitters on Banner Farm Road near Hendersonville. They plan a boat ramp, kayaks and tubes, and a 15 passenger van to shuttle paddlers to put-ins at U S 64 and nearby sites on the French Broad. Trips range from two to four hours with modest prices. River access is expected to grow as new put-ins develop and demand rises.
