Wesleyan College Annual Meeting Elects Officers and Discusses Merger

The Montana Wesleyan College board of trustees met to elect officers Rev Charles Bovard as president Paris Bartley treasurer and W D Tipton secretary with Rev George Mecklenburg and others named to key committees The discussion centered on a proposed merger of Methodist and Presbyterian collegiate interests in Montana and plans for a public health officer and nurse training building funded by Rockefeller foundations. The president Rev Dr Charles M Donaldson delivered a detailed report praising enrollment endowment growth and the college’s future prospects amid financial challenges.

Shrine Patrol Dance Adds MoM and Vocal Star

The Shrine temple program this week adds MoM Thivse of Milwaukee, a World War veteran baritone, to the Shrine Algerian Patrol and drum corps dances. Straiten's orchestra provides music with Miss Dillon of Butte on xylophone as the featured entertainers. Brit Earl Spencer passes away in London, a major landowner who owned 27,000 acres. his son Albert Edward John Spencer to inherit titles.

Montana Pioneers Dedicate Riew Cabin at State Fairgrounds

At the Montana Pioneers ceremony on the state fair grounds a new Pioneer cabin was dedicated. Edward Hoarsky presided, with Rev L W Snell and Richard Lackey Sr among speakers, praising pioneer heritage and the cabin gift from W A Clarke. Dignitaries and members lauded pioneer women and urged youths to carry on their legacy.
