An unidentified man, about six feet one inch tall, was found Monday by a passerby near Three Forks. He showed signs of blunt force trauma, was wrapped in a blanket, and dragged 200 to 400 yards from the highway. Sheriff and coroner planned an inquest for the afternoon. A Waltham watch with case No. 4852636 was found on the body, suggesting recent repairs.
In St Louis 70 000 American Legion members parade for seven hours with an estimated 700 000 spectators along a two mile route. Billings September 24 Sam Ourimstad a 55 year old Stillwater county rancher was arrested on a first degree assault charge linked to an attack on Sheriff J R McFate of Carsey county during a hunting party. McFate could lose an eye. In Columbus justice court Grimstad posted a 2600 bond for his release and gave no statement.
Culver City Calif Sept 24 Irvin Cobb describes the intense glare of fame in Hollywood Autograph seekers and souvenir hunters swarm star visitors. He notes guards marines and protective measures as stars like Bob Montgomery John Boles and John Barrymore are spotlighted amid public fascination.
Postmaster General James A. Farley urged that a constitutional issue will be minor in the 1936 race and that Roosevelt can count on broad street support. He spoke before the National Association of Postmasters, noting postal income rose from 585 million to about 600 million dollars in the latest year despite rate cuts, tying gains to national business growth.

Corbett and Hefren were traveling opposite directions when their cars collided. Hefren a World War veteran had worked for the county for years and left a wife and three children.
Washington dispatch reports a 24 hour powwow between Appalachian soft coal producers and United Mine Workers ended with no agreement on a wage and hour contract to end the strike. A 1 1/2 cent gap in tonnage rates remained the hurdle as negotiations resume at 5 10 a m EST tomorrow. John L Lewis said the union would not move from a 9 cent per ton increase. Van A Bitner described no progress as he left the room.
Don Bart and Pat Garrow of Brooks Alberta were hospitalized in critical condition after a morning collision on Cascade highway four miles west of Riverdale. Kinread of Galata drove the other car, claiming he attempted to pass a truck with trailer and could not reenter the road. Injuries to the Albertans were not yet determined. Kinread had only minor cuts. Both cars wrecked. Kinread had bought his vehicle yesterday. RAM SASH Billings Montana ram sale nets $16 315.50 from 808 head across four breeds.
The Carnegie Institution lab in Pasadena reported at 3 15 p m Pacific standard time a very strong distant quake began recording on its instruments.
In San Francisco a 19 year apart reunion occurred as Thomas J Mooney and Ware Ren K Billings met at Mooneys hearing at the fate of a bombing that killed ten. Billings had been brought from Folsom prison to fortify Mooneys defense and the two men shared a brief emotional greeting before the hearing resumed.
