Gunshot Wound Fatal to Former Butte Policeman Kinney

Harry A. Kinney Jr, 37, former Butte police officer, died tonight from a bullet wound to the right temple. Kinney was found in an alley in the business district this afternoon with a .32 caliber revolver in his hand. He had recently worked as a salesman.

A drift of bad weather and snagged gear delayed the effort as rescuers, led by Sheriff O’Connell, dragged the lake with grapnels and dinghies in the motor boat accident that claimed the Helena mother’s life and swept her beneath the cold water after her boat overturned.

Elk Season Query Reinstated In State High Court

State Supreme Court revived the early elk season dispute after district judge George W. Fadbury dismissed it.
