Ex Governor Joseph K Toole, 73, first governor of Montana, was admitted to a hospital in Great Falls for treatment for a hemorrhage. Attendants say his condition is not serious. He came from Helena to visit his son Warren Toole, an attorney, several days ago and appeared in good health.

Mrs Jennie Callias, ousted as Nebraska Democratic national committeewoman for refusing to back Governor Alfred E Smith, will not contest the action. A dry advocate elected in April primaries said her place is vacant, and the Lincoln state committee chose Mrs CG Bean of Grand Island as successor.
