The New York stock market hit a new bottom as distress shares sold off, with steep losses across leaders and widespread ills of speculative holdings. The day saw heavy trading and a late rally as brokers anticipated a liquidity relief.
Prince Eugene Schaumburg Lippe aviator and relative by marriage to the Kaiser died from injuries after a German passenger plane crash near Marden Park in Surrey. Eight aboard, six killed outright, Prince burned head and arms. other passenger slightly hurt.

Washington Navy 7-(AB)-1 The Senate voted 60 to 18 to raise the duty on manganese ore, establishing a one cent a pound rate for ore with 10 percent or more manganese. The move shifts protection to West and South producers, following lengthy discussion and tax-revenue data on steel firms since 1922.
New York November 7 AP A 51 year old chief filing clerk Mrs Hulda Browaski leaped or fell to her death from the roof of the 37 story Equitable Building in Wall Street after days of market strain. Relatives and the brokerage firm declined to comment but police said she had been working nights for a week and near collapse. Her fall narrowly missed pedestrians on Cedar Street.
Minneapolis, Nov. 7. An active survey to determine the condition of the W. B. Foshey company, which went into receivership here last Friday, was ordered today by Joseph Chapman, receiver, on his return from Arizona. Chapman scheduled conferences with Foshey company officials and aides who will assist in a complete inventory of the firm’s property, scattered throughout the United States, Canada and Central America.
A grass fire started in San Pedro canyon and burned through eucalyptus groves near Berkeley on November 7. The wind shift kept the blaze from reaching the city as fire crews reported it under control. officials said it would burn itself out in Wildcat canyon. City Manager John N. Edy cited the fire chief’s report and noted the wind change diverted the flames away from Berkeley.
Police tonight dispersed about 1,000 New York workers planning a rousing reception for Fred Beal, a recent slaying defendant. Beal was escorted from the train and taken away by cab as workers sang Solidarity Forever, while a police line kept the crowd from a formal procession.

J Strickler of Marietta Ohio killed his sister in law Dorothy Autry 13 and fatally wounded his wife Ada 30 before turning the gun on himself in Chickamauga Georgia Nov 7 The wife had refused to return with him His father in law Emma Autry described the sequence and said Mrs Autry was removed from the home after warnings officers said the killer died minutes later

Bonnie Fisher, a 13 year old from Corvallis, told police she was held for three days in a rooming house by a group of men and women. Claude Anderson 17 of Genoa Colorado and Warry Tiamson 18 of Red Cloud Nebraska confessed after being taken by Sheriff C G Zimmerman to Center Street Centerville Utah. They said they were fleeing authorities after stealing the car when it struck two women near Centerville.

Oakland, Cal., Nov 7. Edward J. Vincent, 54, and William D. Vincent, 49, brothers, walked into the district attorney's office and asked to be arrested as habitual drug addicts. They said they had endured 16 years of the habit and wished to rehabilitate themselves.
