Woman Denied Vote Over High School Bond Tax Status
Mrs. C. W. Eckhardt of 620 Stewart street was refused a ballot for the high school building bond issue on grounds she is not a taxpayer because taxes on her car are paid by her husband. County officials said ownership and tax status make her a taxpayer, but she could not vote or obtain a certificate since taxes are paid by another. Nice mess.

Rites for Pioneer Meagher Co Woman Today
Funeral services for Mrs J Belcher pioneer Montana woman and Meagher county resident will be held at 2 pm this afternoon at the Opp and Conrad chapel. Rev Alexander P Alton will officiate. The remains will be shipped to White Sulphur Springs for burial. Mrs Belcher born in New York 1856 moved to Wisconsin then Montana after 1901 operated stage line and boarding house from Helena to York. She died Sunday afternoon after an operation at St John’s hospital.

One hundred eighty seven Elks and ladies attended a Halloween dinner dance at Jielena Yodge No 187 BPOE. Milas Hazel McLaughlin and Edith Stollenbeck sang with piano accompaniment, Ben Wahle Jr. and Jimmy Smith Jr. provided musical numbers, and the Elk orchestra played novelty tunes during a fried oyster dinner. Dancing followed the program and rooms were decorated for the occasion.

Bank Liquidation Judgments Issued by State Court
Three judgments were awarded by district court judges to state banking authorities. Frank H. Johnson, acting for the State Superintendent of Banks, won $1,000 against the Missaton State Bank of St Ignatine for capital stock issues. George M. Ingabo faced $549,395 in principal interest and costs from the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Winnett, and Frank Brightman was awarded $382.69 with interest from the Farmers and Merchants State Bank of Fleatywood. All three banks have been closed and the assets are under state supervision for liquidation.

Kenneth MacDonald state superintendent of fisheries announced that planting of warm water fish has begun in many state lakes and sloughs. Fish from the Milwaukee City hatchery, operated with federal support, will include adults and yearlings destined for Fall planting in several locations such as Gr Ave Range Lake near Thefty, while Holter Lake will receive a load later this week.

A Los Angeles woman, Minnie Hoover Linton, 59, identified after two days in the morgue as the deceased in a traffic crash on Madison Avenue and Abat Street in New York. Higher lamb prices lift Montana sheepmen profits
Montana sheepmen earned about 81,668,964 more from lamb sales in 1933 than 1932 as prices rose to five and a quarter cents a pound, despite fewer lambs sold.
