A medical note explains that uric acid irritates the kidneys and bladder causing burning sensation and frequent urination. It recommends Jad Salts or similar rad salts, taken with water each morning for two to three days to neutralize urine acids and restore normal bladder function.
McCully and wife Fred H. McCully were each given life terms at Thompson Falls for the murder of their son in law Jean Richardson near Plains. Judge Theodore Lentz imposed the sentences as the couple left for Deer Lodge to begin solitary confinement. The pair, claiming it was their own doing, expressed satisfaction the case was over as they traveled toward the state prison accompanied by Sheriff Joe Hartman and Mrs. Hartman.
James A. Murray of Seattle and Butte heirs face a will contest over a $3,000,000 Montana mining and Seattle holdings estate including the Arctic club and San Diego Water Co. Miss Mary Murray of Seattle and James E. Murray are among heirs. Key properties span Montana mining interests, water works, San Diego, Salt Lake, and Monterey residence La Hacienda. The will was filed for probate in Monterey county with contested shares around $675,000 each.
In a brief will, Mur ray states he conveyed all or nearly all properties to the Monidair Trust for distribution to heirs. The estate attorney notes the company holdings exceed half the estate, with the residue left to Mrs. Mary Murray, the widow.
By Associated Press hearings in the divorce suit of James A. Stillman against Mrs Anne Stillman were postponed to June 1 and 2 at Poughkeepsie New York. The dates May 25 and 26 were replaced by agreement of counsel. Big reduction sale on all millinery today at Fishers.
In Great Falls on May 20 Judge H. H. Ewing ordered the return of seized stocks and fixtures from saloons under the state search and seizure law. Items from John Denham’s Old Home bar on First Avenue South and from Hopkins and Watson’s St Paul pool hall were returned, including beer, soft drinks, and various mounted animals. The ruling follows a Supreme Court interpretation limiting prior seizure procedures and requiring precise warrants and ownership names.
Glendive reports a building boom with about 30 residences under construction or planned, values from 2500 to 5000 dollars, most north of town between the railroad and Yellowstone River. A new 25000 dollar two story brick business building rises on Merrill Avenue near the Jordan hotel, replacing the Main building once housing the Glendive Times. The old landmark, once a newspaper plant and later a restaurant, will be removed. the new shop will host a high grade candy and soda fountain. Eskimo girls carve ivory dolls and dress them in ermine skins.
In a federal court near Georgetown, Adelbert Chute confessed to jointly operating a moonshining still with Gustave Bonthier and received 30 days and a $500 fine. Chute provided minute details of distilling, ingredients, and disposal of the still to exonerate Bonthier, who was found not guilty.
Northern state bankers gather in Havre on May 21 for the annual convention of Group 1 of the state association with committees handling preparations. Delegates will tour Brown’s collector at Clear Creek Gil wells, where two wells push toward deeper formations. The Brown’s collector well has flowed over 56 feet, while the other is planned to reach beyond 2,000 feet.
Miles City May 20. cordial endorsement of the project to furnish power and irrigation for the Yellowstone Valley from Forsyth to Glendive through a hydro electric plant at Butino Rapids was given today by FE Luenson colonization agent of the Northern Pacific. Mr Benson spoke at the chamber.
The official described himself as a longtime North Pacific land agent for Montana now helping the state grow population for the company. He recalled 15 years ago backing a gravity irrigation dam concept at the rapids, noting hydroelectric plants were then scarcely thought of.
