Washington May 11 A petition charging Senator George L Berry of Tennessee with unentitled to hold office due to alleged moral turpitude was presented to the senate privileges and elections committee. Attorney Lowry from Maryville Tenn filed the document claiming a Knoxville suit against Berry involved misappropriated funds for a labor union and that Berry had not explained two sums of $100,000 each tied to industrial coordination. Berry yesterday was sworn in to replace the late Nathan Lodachman and declined to comment as more evidence was promised.
