A man, plagued by multiple failed medical attempts, faced a choice between risky surgery or continuing the feud. He ultimately cured himself without the operation, after enduring years of failed doctors and devices.
Corvallis March 30. Plomaine poisoning from dyed Easter eyes proved fatal to Darrell Uladgeet, a four year old son of Mr and Mrs Joe Mlodgett. He became ill Sunday and died Monday at Hamilton hospital. A fourth grader at Corvallis school he was well liked by classmates. Survived by parents an older brother Harry and two younger sisters Mildred and Grace. Funeral arrangements not yet made.
Uayre March 30 J B Allen and J J Bouting return from seed trade tour. Hill county farmers begin farming operations with a good acreage anticipated despite drought. Moisture is ample and a wet spring is expected to curb cutworm damage. About 40 percent of land will be summer fallowed, higher than prior years.

The Cascade county poor farm resident testified in Alsiriot court that J. Mr. Carlile of Casada owes him 400 for work at the Carlile coal mine in 141g. He claimed 262 unpaid under a September contract to receive half the net proceeds from a mining operation yielding a 2.50 profit per ton after credits and incidentals.
Winnett March 30 relatives of the late Jake L Hamon of Oklahoma may gain a further fortune if the Gat Creek oil fields prove lucrative. Hamon had inspected the Montana oil sands months before he was killed by Clara Hamon and had invested in several prospects. Representatives of the Hamon estate have been on site as one well is developed.
Billings tobacco dealers faced summons from County Attorney Collins after undercover tests showed sales of cigarettes to boys under 18. Officers instructed to curb violations. evidence by L. T. Eaton of the Polytechnic Institute showed minors making purchases. The law sets fines from 23 to 500 dollars or up to three months in jail for underage sales.
H Lepres of Helena retains his state checker title after defeating all challengers in Miles City during a land office visit. He travels from Helena to help with general land office business and serves as a special agent. Margaret Nichols assumes clerk duties. Kathleen Mann returns to lead her department after a week away.
Charles M. Grant was sentenced in the district court to twenty two years on a state prison term at Deer Lodge for burglary. Also, Mwhin Berg of Whitetail received a sentence of five to ten years at Dene Lodge after a jury found him guilty of brand infringement. A person named Terk was accused of stealing a car owned by Rev. I P Kier, a Lutheran pastor at Reohey.
March 30 reports note 700 workers to lose jobs as Anaconda Copper company shuts plants in Butte and Great Falls. One third operations had run all summer, with cascading layoffs affecting Anaconda towns and local economies. Spokane hosts a travel exhibit for tourists and anglers during the Interstate convention period.
The American Legion will decorate all graves of soldiers who died abroad during World War I on Memorial Day.
