Paris reports Foreign Minister Aristide Briand warned the Austro German customs union endangers European peace. He said France acted promptly to protest and mobilize others, noting the accord harms Franco German relations but lacks global support. He urged caution yet perseverance toward European cooperation.
Senator Robert J. Bulkey of Ohio, a Democrat, told a City Club forum in Cleveland that President Hoover is “playing into the hands of bootleggers and racketeers” by not taking a decisive stand on prohibition. Glasgow March 28 Katheryn Roth American evangelist and former actress was awarded 81000 in damages in a suit against the Scottish Protestant League for breach of contract The contract promised 2500 for a five months speaking campaign on Why I Left the Stage but the league claimed the pay was based on an old photograph and would not have been made if the newer photo had been used.
Two of baseballs greatest executives Aaron Bancroft Johnson and Ernest Sargent Barnard have died within 16 hours of each other. Barnard president of the American League died in St Louis, a dramatic coincidence marking the end of an era in pro baseball.
Albuquerque dispatch reports 18 month old Alberto Silva died after being struck by a car driven by N. L Eaton, Torrington postmaster, near Bernalillo, 20 miles north of Albuquerque. Eaton is under technical arrest as investigation continues.
An armored car will deliver Fred Burke known as Americas most dangerous criminal to St Joseph Michigan for trial on charges tied to the murder of a policeman. Missouri Gov Caulfield signed the order sending Burke into custody of Michigan officers after Chicago hoped for Illinois trial.

Detectives say the confession followed an anonymous letter and key information from Sheriff John Tonkel of Red Ok Iowa about the 1912 killings of Mr. and Mrs. Moore their four children and two visitors.

Fire destroys a Unionville area home about 1200 yesterday afternoon. J K Kohl, father of six, had just begun a new job and was away when the blaze started. Roy and Mrs Arnold pronged the fire and notified authorities. Mrs Koh and the six children were moved to safety before the structure burned.
Beattie Washington March 24 Kan Wylie carpenter and Steve Ahephend customshainser were burned to death in a $17,000 fire at the Beattie mill on Lake Union today. Two gas boats damaged the dock as part of the blaze.
In Waco Texas a panic erupted at a child matinee when a fuse viewant and an excited woman shouted fire. Ten children were carried to hospitals and three were badly injured. Police say about six were hurt in the incident.
