Detroit March 25. United Automobile Workers organizer Richard T. Franksensteen announced the De Soto plant strikers voted unanimously to evacuate. It marked the first of eight Chrysler plants to be visited by union officials explaining a withdrawal plan after a long meeting with Walter P. Chrysler and John L. Lewis. Gov Frank Murphy said the withdrawal would occur probably before morning, with talks to resume at 8 a.m. MST if plants are vacated.

Winchester Tornado Swath Hits Clark County Injuring Dozens

Bus Fire Kills 18 in Salem Ill Disaster
