In Sault Ste. Marie a six pound baby named Suggitt was born in an open car pulled by a horse through deep snow. The mother Mrs Arthur Suggitt of Munuscong endured the birth and the blizzard disruption as the vehicle stalled and was freed to reach a hospital.
San Diego March 11 Alexander Pantages vaudeville magnate and real estate figure Johnny Mills faced arraignment on charges of complicity in a Loa An melee love bazaar that supplied girls for weekend parties of wealthy men. Bail set at 15000 for Pantages and 19000 for Mills with further hearings planned. Jesse Shreve, William Joblemann and Olive Day also named.

He died near the draw hole as his partner, Chiakinakis, left momentarily. The coroner ruled an accidental death with no inquest planned. Belgarde is survived by his widow Mary and 13 children.
