Police raid a Long Beach seance, arresting Mrs. C. Allen amid chaos. About twenty spectators paid a dollar to enter. sergeant F J Pinnell, in plain clothes, joined the audience, confronted the cabinet, was struck by the spirit, and police later found Mrs. Allen hiding nearby.
Annapolis Maryland March reporting Taine Neer says Midshipman Otterson a 122 pound cadet dragged Georgetown University student G. R. Williams swelling with water from the Severn river after Williams went under twice in 20 feet of water. Both men were confined in the Naval Hospital for exposure.
Burtis, 72, longtime Anaconda resident, was killed by a hit and run driver as two cars racing along the highway from Butte passed. He was walking beside the paved road when struck. Witnesses report two cars racing, one attempting to pass. The event occurred in Anaconda during the night. Earlier, Burtis had been an Indian fighter. Curtis Field, N Y Colonel Arthur C Goebel and Ernest Robinson departed for Washington on a Curtiss flight for a goodwill tour of Japan.
Oakland March 4 three men robbed small banks to fund buying Bank of Italy stock with Moran confessing to police that the proceeds financed a larger stock market gain than the robberies. Moran, with Taggart 45, was arrested as investigators traced the getaway car license. The trio’s third robber was expected to be found soon. Moran twice attempted suicide in his cell but both attempts were interrupted. He refused to name brokers or stock placements.
In Darafli region near Managua five marines were killed and eight wounded in a Sandino rebel attack that lasted from 1:30 pm until nightfall. A pack train under fire recrossed a stream as Lieut O Day noted a stone enclosure likely used for ambush. Natives opened fire when the Marines entered the corral, a fierce battle ensued with several marines mortally wounded. officers praised for leadership as darkness fell and the fight paused. Christ C. Hampton, a contractor, shot and killed his wife Flora E. Hampton and likely fatally wounded his step-daughter Clara Hitchens while leaving a church service. Hitchens' husband Paul A. Hutchens was lightly wounded. Hampton was arrested as details emerge in the Kansas city incident dated March 4. The victim Mrs. Hampton, 64, had separated from her husband two months earlier amid a pending divorce suit.
Two men die in Brooklyn street deaths. John Henry Scarface Spencer, a noted gambler with ornate Brooklyn gambling houses, was found unconscious and died later. A second well dressed man, possibly Richard Wallace of Brooklyn, was shot four times. papers indicate both identities and motives are under police review.

Hapgood and wife Mary Donovan, both New Yorkers, along with Joseph Lacally and others, were jailed in Luverne county after a meeting at Fottston sparked riot incitement charges. A hearing before Mayor Callespie set bail at $1,000 for Miss Donovan and Licata.

The dying man Craig died within minutes.
